State Representative Jon Bumstead rolled up his sleeves and joined the Center for Nonprofit Housing (CNH) team to help provide firewood to a local family and remove a dead tree from South Woods Senior Housing units. South Woods is one of several multi family developments owned by CNH.

Sandy Williams, Director of CNH saw this as an opportunity to save money on the tree removal and help another family out with firewood for the winter.

The work was part of the Legislators Building Communities campaign sponsored by Living In Michigan which allows elected state officials to engage in affordable housing and community development projects in their districts and communities.
